Hi dear friend, my name is Marusha. I first started crocheting when I was seven years old. I can still remember how the other kids would play outside, whilst I was happily crocheting. Back then, it was already a thing that felt nice to do. Later on in life I started to reconnect with it, especially during difficult times. I started to realise how positively it affected me. It helped me to be more in my body and present in the moment. So when I was 19 years old and had my gap year, crocheting became my best friend. I started to create products that my friends admired and they would keep asking me "why don’t you start selling them?". So finally I came up with a brand name I love: day by day. The name popped into my head when I was going through some challenging times. During my everyday activities the phrase day-by-day kept me going. When life got challenging, this was my mantra. I started being more in the present moment with a sense of wonder. I went back to the things that made me feel grounded and fulfilled; crocheting, knitting and sewing. Lately I’ve started to explore crocheting more and more and I got hooked on it. Crocheting for me is a meditation that brings me into the present moment, where I leave my worries behind and trust the process of life. So when I create the beautiful pieces that you see on this website, they hold the energy of living life "day by day" :)
